We are in relationship with a South American synod at the southern-most tip of Brazil called Sínodo Centro Campanha Sul, one of 18 synods of the Evangelical Church of the Lutheran Confession in Brazil. This Lutheran body has strong German background and is noted for their intentional commitment to mission, ecumenism, public responsibility, and gender and ethnicity. Since 1990 when our companion relationship was established, we have discovered common challenges and joys in ministry and mission even though we serve Jesus in different hemispheres.
